Alondra Gonzalez is a senior and team captain for the Mariner Girls Wrestling Team. Because the Girls Wrestling season came to a halt in mid-December, Alondra had her long awaited season debut this weekend at the Blaine 'Borderite Blizzard' tournament. Wrestling at 140 pounds, she wrestled a tough first round and lost 2-8. She went on to win 3 straight matches with a first round pin, ultimately taking 5th in the tournament. The senior showed tremendous heart and grit, not letting her first loss effect the rest of her tournament. Congratulations Alondra.
