Mukilteo Pythons win state title

The Mukilteo Pythons of the Mukilteo Youth Soccer Club won the U12 Boys soccer championship last month. The Mukilteo Pythons defeated Tacoma 2-0 in the Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup U12 Boys Soccer championship game Dec. 11 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. The team of fifth and sixth graders from the Mukilteo School District went 10-0 in the top division of the North County Youth Soccer Association regular season. The Pythons then won two more games in divisional play to advance to state. Mukilteo edged West Vancouver 1-0 in the semifinals.
