Mukilteo/Clinton remains state ferry's most popular route for drivers

The Mukilteo/Clinton route saw an increase of 11% in vehicle traffic in 2021, according to Washington State Ferries. The Mukilteo run transported 2,044,196 vehicles along with 1,442,799 riders for a total of 3,486,995 riders, the third most of any route in the state.
The greatest year-to-year increase came on the Seattle/Bainbridge Island route, where total ridership – vehicles and passengers combined – was up 44% – for a total ridership of 3,717,188.
