Kamiak took a pretty good punch to the gut in its nonconference girls basketball clash against Woodinville.

The Falcons, who finished second at state in 2018 and 2020, and are the two-time defending district champions, dominated play from start to finish in an 80-30 rout Saturday, Dec. 4, at Kamiak High School.

The Knights (0-2 overall) also lost their season opener 54-38 to Skyline Wednesday. Dec. 1.

Second-year coach Maybelle Tupua said the nonconference games are more of an opportunity to assess where Kamiak is and what the players need to improve on in preparation for the start of leagu...
