Congratulations to the Mukilteo City Council for unanimously rejecting the 1% increase in property taxes proposed in Mayor Gregerson's preliminary budget for 2022. This will not increase the tax burden on citizens already facing increasing inflation for fuel and food.
Also I would encourage new Mayor Joe Marine and the new City Council to take an in depth analysis of City Council Vice President Bob Champion's idea to review Mukilteo's city cost structure and its cost allocation methods. For example, I read where the Police Chief and City Council have approved a
new position for an officer...
