The recent storm that hit the Pacific Northwest left quite an impression on residents, who aren't used to the strong winds and pounding rain. Prem Conn was on the waterfront and caught these images of a wave crashing at Park Avenue near the Silver Cloud (left), and of flooding at Lighthouse Park. Mayor Jennifer Gregerson in her weekly email noted that both were historically waterways. Park Avenue often flooded during rain events in the early 1900s, and Lighthouse Park was a big estuary until it was filled in the 1910 and 1920s.
