Dusty seemed to enjoy the holiday festivities in 2019, the last time the city had a holiday lighting event.

After an absence of two years due to the pandemic, the City of Mukilteo and Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce invite the community to a new outdoor holiday celebration.

The Merry Mukilteo and Tree Lighting Festival is 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.

The city's holiday tree is at Totem Park, 700 Third St., close to the Rosehill Community Center.

The festival features cocoa, cider, popcorn, candy canes, pop-up holiday shopping, caroling, gingerbread house "to-go" kits, pictures with Santa, and the tree lighting at 5 p.m.
