Community invited to donate to new pajamas drive for women, children

Janet Bacon collects new pajamas for women and children, donating them to local organizations that assist women and children facing domestic violence and homelessness. Bacon has held her Joyful Jammies clothing drive annually since 2013.
Janet Bacon has fond memories of Christmas growing up in Aberdeen.
Her father worked at a sawmill, and the family spent most of his paycheck on necessities.
But every Christmas, Bacon would find a couple of presents under the tree, along with a new set of pajamas, which always brought a smile to her face.
In 2013, Bacon was reminiscing about past Christmases when an idea hit her – she wanted to help bring a little joy and comfort to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
