The Adopt A Stream Foundation is selling live holiday trees at the Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park.

The Adopt A Stream Foundation will be selling live and wild Holiday Trees for Salmon at the Northwest Stream Center from Dec. 4-18. Shoppers can also purchase gifts at the Nature Store, where proceeds benefit environmental education and salmon stream restoration.

"There will be a great selection of wild and live 3- to 5-foot-high ($40, $60, $100) Sitka Spruce, Western Red Cedar, Western Hemlock, and Douglas Fir trees that are in pots," said Adopt A Stream Foundation Director Tom Murdoch. "After the holidays, all trees returned to the Northwest Stream Center will be planted next to local salmon streams. And everyone will get the good feeling that comes with knowing their Holiday Tree for Salmon will be doing great things for the Northwest environment long into the future.
