Body cams are coming to the City of Mukilteo.
The Mukilteo City Council unanimously approved a new police department body camera program Monday, Oct. 25.
The cost of the program is $625,000, and the City will pay for it by using American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act funds; it will be receiving about $6 million in funds from the federal government. The City Council also approved using ARP funds for a utility assistance program and an upgrade for the council chamber’s audio visual system. The council approved the City’s request for new enterprise resource planning software.
