Federal official visits with state, tribal leaders

Sen. Marko Liias, Tulalip Tribes Vice Chairman Glen Gobin, WSF Chief of Staff Nicole McIntosh, WSDOT secretary Roger Millar, FTA Administrator Nuria Fernandez, and FTA Regional Administrator Linda Gehrke stand in front of the Suquamish ferry docking at Mukilteo. State and tribal leaders met with the head of the Federal Transit Administration Thursday, Sept. 30, to highlight federal investments supporting public transportation and mobility in ferry service – both in Washington and nationwide. FTA provided $72 million toward the Mukilteo terminal and more than $242 million for the Colman Dock project in downtown Seattle.
