Letter to the Editor: The mayor and city administrator are now staff

In March, the federal government passed the American Rescue Plan (ARP) intended to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, including the public health and economic impacts. A huge amount of money was provided to state and local governments to administer.

Mukilteo gets about $6 million. City administrator Steve Powers, presented to council what he says are "staff ideas" for initially using more than $1 million that could be acted upon "sooner rather than later."
