I was 20 in 1978, a year I would have recalled as pretty unremarkable until I actually looked it up. Stuff happens every year.
It was the year of the Camp David accords between Egypt and Israel, and the mass murder-suicide of over 900 members of the Peoples Temple community in Guyana. It was the year we were introduced to Robin Williams with the premiere of “Mork and Mindy.”
It was the year John Legend was born, the year the Super Bowl was first played in prime time, and the year that “The Star Wars Holiday Special” nearly ruined everything, whew.
