Survival Capsule ready to launch production

September is going to be quite a month for Survival Capsule.

After more than a decade of design and development, the Mukilteo-based company is ready to begin mass production of the first of its kind survival capsules designed to help save lives from tsunamis and earthquakes.

The survival capsules allow people the option of sheltering in place to ride out a natural disaster rather than the standard two options, which are horizontal or vertical evacuation.

"You can either run or you can climb a vertical tower or get to high ground or a building," said Survival Capsule president Julian Sharpe....
