Reading comics in public, oh my! | Darn Wright

When I was just a youngster, my mother would let us read the daily newspaper comics, but it was a no no for her three boys to even think about reading those communistic and juvenile delinquent-leading comic books. The one exception was when we were going on a long vacation drive, then we could read a couple of Donald Duck comics to help keep us entertained. But, of course, our reading could only be done inside the privacy of our new, front-wheel drive, $3,500, shiny Kaiser horseless carriage.

Today, I am way past those forbidden comic book days, and I am planning to sit in a public, hopeful...
