Sales tax revenue for Mukilteo ahead of last year

Mukilteo finance director Shawn Hunstock didn't get to present the City's second quarter financial update at the last City Council meeting due to how late the meeting ran.
But he did release some numbers that indicate the City seems to be weathering the economic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sales tax revenue is 3.1% higher than a year ago, with second quarter sales tax revenue 34.1% higher than budgeted through June, and 33.7% higher than budgeted through July.
