Author pens tale of a curious pigeon on Mukilteo ferry

Laura Roetcisoender spends a lot of time riding the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry.
Roetcisoender has lived in Langley since 2001, but she grew up in Snohomish and makes frequent trips across Puget Sound.
“I noticed whenever I’d ride the Mukilteo ferry, pigeons would fly up into the rafters,” she said. “I thought to myself – I wonder which pigeon was the first one? Did they do it on purpose or did they get lost?”
The idea spurred Roetcisoender to write her first children’s book, “Priscilla Gets Lost!” (Newman Springs Publishing).
