Teenager pays it forward with Light to Liberty ride

Deven Boyce is bicycling across America to raise funds for Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center

Deven Boyce is going to have a lot of stories to share with friends about his summer vacation.

As of last weekend, Boyce, 14, has bicycled more than 2,000 miles of a 3,200-mile cross country trip that started at Lighthouse Park June 2 and is scheduled to end July 28 at the Statue of Liberty in New York City. He's pedaled through eight states so far. (

The Light to Liberty ride is Deven's way to pay it forward by raising funds for the Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization in Everett that provides assistance to victims of child abuse and neglect....
