County to host Juneteenth festivities through month of June | News Brief

Several Juneteenth activities, both virtual and in-person, are scheduled throughout Snohomish County in June.
Juneteenth marks the official end of slavery in the Confederacy some two-and half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed by President Abraham Lincoln on Jan. 1, 1863, according to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
