Update: Officials planning to reopen City Hall on July 6 or 7

Mukilteo City Hall is scheduled to reopen for in-person business on July 1.

Mayor Jennifer Gregerson has set July 6 or 7 as the target date for the reopening of City Hall.

Plans for the reopening have been in the works for several months, well in advance of Gov. Jay Inslee's announcement last week in which he set a statewide reopening date of June 30.

"We're just working on the final policies and talking with our staff," Gregerson said. "As long as vaccination rates continue to increase, and we don't have any issues with hospitalizations, and the state is on track, we'll be ready."
