Mukilteo Police sees a 13.9% increase in service calls in 2020

Mukilteo police worked to ensure that Black Lives Matters protesters were able to safely hold a rally/march along the Mukilteo Speedway in June 2020.

The Mukilteo Police Department was doing more with less in 2020.

In its recently released 2020 annual report, the department reported a 13.9% increase in service calls from 2019. Mukilteo police responded to 33,417 calls for service last year, up from 29,346. The numbers include calls for service from residents and self-initiated incidents. The latter are when officers take the initiative to address an issue during their down time – when they are not responding to service calls from the dispatch center.
