Junior Wesley Garrett won't take football for granted.
Certainly not after the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the start of the season by six months.
The moment Garrett and his teammates have been patiently waiting for finally arrived Saturday, March 6, as Kamiak hosted Everett in the first football game of the year.
The wait definitely was worth it for Garrett, who scored the game's first touchdown, to help lead the Knights to a 37-14 victory at an empty Goddard Stadium. Spectators were not permitted at the facility in accordance with Wesco guidelines.
