3 Mukilteo teens earn Scholastic Art Awards

Three students in the Mukilteo School District were among the artists to receive recognition in this year's Scholastic Art Awards.
Kamiak High School's Toko Kameda and Cindy Liang, as well as Harbour Pointe Middle School's Justin Kim were named Gold Key Award Winners by the Schack Arts Center, the organizer of the contest in Snohomish County.
Kameda, a junior, was singled out for her painting titled "Masking Blue," a self-portrait. Liang, a senior, earned honors for a mixed media piece called "Chicken and Egg," and Kim, an eighth grader, submitted a drawing title "Believe."
