Online learning offers flexibility, but lacks social interaction kids need

District compiles results from students, parents on best ways to engage students

Like it or not, most students in the Mukilteo School District won’t be seeing the inside of a classroom at school anytime soon.

Though the district has made plans to bring back some K-5 students in specialized programs later this month, the majority of students will continue with online/remote learning.

Some students are doing their best to make the most of the situation and actually see some benefits to attending classes through their computers. Others find the current learning environment challenging.

Kamiak junior Jibran Karim appreciates the independence he has with remote learning.
