Ferry numbers at lowest level in nearly 50 years
Mukilteo still carried most customers despite 26% drop in total riders

With the sharp drop in commuter traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic, the following should come as no surprise: The latest numbers from Washington State Ferries show that the Mukilteo-Clinton and Edmonds-Kingston runs both carried more riders than Seattle-Bainbridge Island in 2020.
The Seattle-Bainbridge route had the second biggest decrease at 59% – behind Seattle-Bremerton – falling out of the top spot as the system’s busiest for the first time since 1958.
