City to seek input about Mukilteo Lane traffic issues

Tulalip Tribes, state ferries, city of Everett and other stakeholders to be consulted

Residents on Mukilteo Lane are concerned about speeding cars and pedestrian safety on the narrow road.

Help is on the way for residents of Mukilteo Lane concerned about speeding, pedestrian safety and potential cut-through traffic from ferry and train commuters.

But residents will have to be patient.

The Mukilteo City Council unanimously approved a motion that directs city staff to conduct outreach with stakeholders in the waterfront area that could be impacted by the city's proposed plans to reconfigure traffic on Mukilteo Lane and the Mount Baker crossing.

Those interested stakeholders include the Tulalip Tribes, Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), Washington State Ferries, Sound Transit...
