ACES standout - Mukilteo teenager loved his family

Popular student was shot to death in Spokane

Jacquon Bailey

Jacquon Bailey was a typical teenager in many respects.

Bailey, who grew up in Mukilteo, loved basketball, listening to music, posting YouTube videos, and watching and drawing anime.

"He was the class clown, super goofy, always trying to put a smile on everyone's face," stepmother Tekla Alters said.

Family also was important to Bailey, who had eight brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bailey's uncle, Joshua Bailey, remembers how involved his nephew was in his brothers' lives.

"He just loved being around his family," Joshua Bailey said. "He just loved being with us."
