City still plans to light up holiday tree

It will come as no surprise to anyone, but the City of Mukilteo's annual holiday tree lighting/community gathering has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

For the first time in more than 30 years, the city will not be hosting an in-person event.

But rest assured that the city's holiday tree, located at Totem Park, will be lit up for the holidays.

Crews spent Wednesday, Nov. 18, putting up lights on the tree. Mark your calendars for Monday, Nov. 30, when the city plans to turn the lights on.
