Letter to the Editor: Incumbent superintendent has improved education in state

The Seattle Times reported that according to a poll, 47% of Washington voters have not decided on the State Superintendent of Public Instruction race. I am alarmed at this statistic. The incumbent, Chris Reykdal, has improved many things in Washington schools, including graduation rates, language learning, access to college courses and technical education for high school students, among many others.
His opponent is a conservative Republican, and has inflated her qualifications (she has never been a public school teacher) and made inflated and inflammatory accusations against Reykdal. The in...
