Curtain call for '2 minutes of gratitude'

Postmaster Tim Laurence was the final guest of honor Aug. 28 for the residents of 53rd Avenue West and their "2 minutes of gratitude" salute to essential workers. Laurence has worked for the postal service for 36 years. Despite the extreme risks, the Mukilteo Post Office lobby has remained open, and has became increasingly busy as the pandemic ramped up. On average they serve about 500 customers a day and send out an average of 1,500 packages daily.
