Alison Brynelson no sooner became the Mukilteo School District's new superintendent when the COVID-19 crisis broke out.

Talk about a baptism by fire.

When Alison Brynelson was sworn in as the new Mukilteo School District superintendent on Dec. 9, 2019, she brought with her more than two decades of experience in different roles in the district.

In her 22-year educational career, Brynelson has been a teacher, assistant principal, principal and – on the district level – director of student services, executive director of secondary schools, assistant superintendent and deputy superintendent.
