Richard Vitzhum composes music for plays, musicals and orchestras, even though he has no formal training. The conductor and violinist got his start on Broadway. Hear his latest performed by the Octava Chamber Orchestra July 23.

Richard Vitzhum never trained as a composer, but that's what he's known for here.

Vitzhum, of Mukilteo, is a classically trained conductor and violinist who has composed and arranged works for the Mukilteo Community Orchestra and the Mukilteo Presbyterian Church musician groups.
