Mukilteo ferry terminal opening delayed to at least end of year

The opening of the Mukilteo ferry terminal has been pushed back to at least the end of the year, as a result of a six-week construction delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Washington State Ferries is now hoping to complete work by December, after previously looking to the open by the end of October. But even that timeline is not firm.
"We still don't have a date," said WSF spokesperson Diane Rhodes. "That's what we're shooting for, the end of 2020."
The marine contractor is scheduled to resume work in August. The contractor will be engaged in work in the water through the end of the year.
