An alert reader let us know that the world famous Weiner Man is wearing a mask.

The wood sculpture stands on the corner of 4th and Mukilteo Speedway. The big weenie was carved by artist Pat McVay for Gary Smith , the original owner of Neener Neener Weiner, the hot dog restaurant that used to be at 315 Lincoln Ave.

The big-bellied Wiener Man, with a gourmet hot dog in hand, has been bringing smiles to residents, commuters and tourists for 23 years. His companion, Wiener Dog, comically begs at his feet.
