More than 500 students have received pencils, pens and other school-related items

Students pick up free school supplies provided by the Mukilteo Schools Foundation Monday, April 13, at Mariner High School. The foundation has distributed educational supplies to more than 500 students.
The Mukilteo Schools Foundation is stepping up to help low-income families.
The foundation, in partnership with Connect Casino Road, has distributed free educational supplies, such as pencils, pens, crayons, paper, glue sticks, rulers and other items to more than 500 students. Volunteers have visited three school lunch sites so far with the goal of eventually collecting enough supplies to donate to all eight lunch sites and four bus routes.
