Last updated 3/11/2020 at 12:34pm
The 80-hour Beach Watchers training program will cover Puget Sound wildlife, coastal processes, fresh water ecosystems, climate change, water quality, low impact development, and habitat restoration.
Speakers are from Washington State University, Snohomish County, Washington Department of Ecology, City of Everett and Mukilteo, Washington Conservation District, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and several local environmental organizations.
Once your training is complete, you volunteer at least 80 hours in projects throughout Snohomish County. Projects range from low-tide education at beaches to water quality sampling to festival community outreach.
You can join a team or work on your own to help people better appreciate, understand and conserve the Puget Sound’s health.
