New Kamiak coach looks to boost track and field numbers

 

Kamiak’s new boys track and field coach is a familiar face.

Bill Stengele, a counselor at Kamiak High School, was named head boys track and field coach earlier this year, succeeding Paul Kirkpatrick, who retired.

Stengele also is an assistant wrestling coach with the Knights and was the head track and field coach at Cascade High School from 2002-07. Stengele, the throws coach at Cascade, worked with Whitney Hooks, the current 4A state record holder in the shot put. Stengele has two children at Kamiak.
