Legislators have to live within their means

In a recent newspaper article, our lawmakers state they will be losing $453 million in revenues, and have been complaining about this ever since we as citizens passed Initiative 976.
In a separate article another day, we were told our Washington state economy is scheduled to produce $606 million more than projected, and when that's added to the forecasts from last year there is to be "in excess of $1 billion to spend."
Why are our legislators complaining and then constantly asking us for more taxes? They will always find ways to spend our money if it's there, and if they want more they simply come to us for it.
They are failing at budgeting and living within their means, even when there are excess monies. They must learn to live within their means as we do.
Why do we keep putting the same politicians in office every election? If they don't abide by our initiatives and care for us (they say they care for the poor and middle class but their actions belie their words) then let's replace them this election and the following. They are not representing us.
