Kamiak's season ends with district loss | Girls basketball

Kamiak didn’t have an answer for Eastlake’s Keeli Burton.

The 6-foot-3 senior center scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Wolves to a 53-29 victory over the Knights in a loser-out 4A Wes-King District girls basketball tournament game Friday, Feb. 14, at Eastlake High School.

“I was proud of our effort,” Kamiak coach Brian Norman said. “We played hard. We ran into a pretty tough team. … We had a tough time with their big girl. We couldn’t really move here from her position. She had a lot of offensive rebounds and post-ups.”
