Students show off artwork at local contest

Mukilteo Art Contest features digital and 2D art

Olivia Pak won second place for the middle/high school 2D category of the Mukilteo Art Contest. Her creation "Happy Dogs" was done with watercolor and pastels.

Puppies, landscapes, portraits, flowers, shapes, powerful messages, and much more.

Young artists participated in the third annual Mukilteo Art Contest at Rosehill Community Center Jan. 26. The art contest was organized by the Mukilteo Youth Advisory Committee (MYCA).

The contest focused on two age categories: elementary and middle/high school. Students in grades K-5 competed with 2D artwork only, whereas the older artists submitted both 2D and digital work.
