More noise expected at new ferry terminal

Night work extended through Feb. 15

The new Mukilteo ferry terminal is expanding in-water night work through Feb. 15, when the fish migration window closes.

Loud noises and night construction will continue at the new Mukilteo ferry terminal as crews continue work on the wing walls. The City of Mukilteo approved another noise variance for this work.

Manson Construction said the crew fell behind schedule during the holiday season. The additional noise request is due to a continued need for overnight welding activities to occur during extreme low tides. These low tides occur between the hours of 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
