Kamiak improves to 2-0 | Girls basketball

Junior Kendall Carroll scored a team-high 12 points to lead Kamiak to a 40-38 victory over Stanwood in a nonconference girls basketball game Thursday, Dec. 5, at Kamiak High School.

The Knights struggled early on against the Spartans, falling behind 11-3 after the first quarter. Trailing 32-25 at the start of the final period, Kamiak outscored Stanwood 15-6 to pull out the victory.

In their season opener, the Knights downed Lynnwood 57-42 in a nonconference contest Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Senior center Brooke Erlandsen scored 16 points to lead Kamiak. Teammate Jordyn Porea added 10 points.

Kamiak (2-0 overall) takes on Archbishop Murphy at 7:15 p.m, Friday, Dec. 13, at Kamiak High School.
