More ferry terminal updates

Construction workers finished pouring the sidewalks along First Street Dec. 9. The pathway is now open for the public.

The Mukilteo pedestrian path officially opened to the public Dec. 9.

"It may not be a grand opening, but rather a happy reopening," WSDOT said in a news release.

The pedestrian path goes from the Sounder Train station east to the end of the new Mukilteo ferry terminal. Crews just finished pouring the sidewalks along the new First Street, which was also paved recently.

For now, the pedestrian path is in a temporary configuration. It uses the sidewalk and parts of the newly paved First Street. Certain areas of the pathway will require pedestrians to step up or down a curb. Crews are still c...
