Flu season arrives in Snohomish County

Get a flu shot this holiday season

Flu season is early this year, but it’s not too late to protect against the illness. The Snohomish Health District reminds people that National Influenza Vaccination Week was Dec. 1-7.

In Snohomish County, three people have already been hospitalized for the flu and one school has reported an absence rate of over 10% due to influenza-like illness. A long-term care facility has also reported flu-like cases in more than 10% of residents, said Heather Thomas, spokesperson for the Snohomish Health District.
