Madeline LaBeau Kuykendall has passed away at the age of 96. She was a former Pioneer of the Year in 2013. Madeline grew up in the family home on the corner of Fifth and Loveland. She is survived by her children Linda (Jerry) and Mark, granddaughter Elizabeth, nieces Renee Ripley (Don) and Lynne Howard (Chuck), great-niece Sophie Howard, and great-nephew Benjamin Howard. Madeline traveled to many countries, but Mukilteo was always home. The service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on Broadway, Nov. 29, at noon. In her memory, consider a donation to the Mukilteo Historical Society.
