Safety always comes first in Mukilteo

Studies show Mukilteo is ranked the 35th safest city in Washington.

The analysis found that Mukilteo (population 21,662) emerged on the list with a safety score of 76.51 out of 100. The city has a violent crime rate of 1.34 per 1,000 people and a rate of 21.1 property crimes per 1,000 citizens. 

Violent crimes include forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, murder, and non-negligent manslaughter, as defined by the FBI. Property crimes include burglary, motor vehicle theft, arson, and larceny-theft.

Security-based review, comparison, and news site Security Baron analyzed FBI rankings of crime rates to find out the top 50 safest cities are in Washington.

“Theft or violence can occur in the nick of crime, and no one is immune,” Gabe Turner of Security Baron said in a news release. “Although it is difficult to predict when crime will occur, it is vital to ensure the area you are visiting or moving to is secure and not infamous for any sort of criminal behavior. You can use safety scores and rankings to check.”


It was also found that Duvall is the safest city in Washington, with a safety score of 89.43 and a rate of 3.94 property crimes per 1,000 people. The city also has a violent crime rate of 0.51 per 1,000 citizens.
