A few dental assisting students in the Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center prepare a station in the program's clinic. The students will assist patients starting Nov. 20.

Did your high school career involve wearing gloves, eye and mouth protective gear, and wearing scrubs? Probably not.

But for more than 50 students at the Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center, that's the case, as they're in the center's dental assisting program.

The center offers a variety of programs for high school students to help prepare them for futures in a number of different fields, including the dental assisting program, which helps those interested in dentistry get a wide array of experience before either going to college or entering the field straight out of high school.
