Peter Zieve caught with forum questions

Other candidates say they never had access and were never offered

The forum questions are in black text while Peter Zieve's notes and answers are written in red. Zieve denied having the questions during the debate, and after the forum, would not show anyone his notes until confronted by The Beacon.

When a question about diversifying the City of Mukilteo's budget was asked to Mukilteo City Council Position 6 candidates at the Wednesday, Oct. 23, candidate forum, Peter Zieve snapped off some quick, specific percentages. In his possession on stage at Rosehill Community Center was a printed copy of the City's 2020 budget in a binder.

When it was time for his opponent Elisabeth Crawford's turn, she was a little flustered, and threw a bold claim at Zieve: That he had the questions pre-prepared in his binder.

Peter, in your initial response in these comments the day after the forum you took full responsibility for your actions. That was deleted and now you are trying to justify your decision to act dishonorably with a disingenuous interpretation of the forum rules. You should have stuck with your original response of owning up to your actions. I think this, along with your tacky signage, are great examples of why you shouldn't represent Mukilteo.

The forum rules do not restrict me from having the questions. I have posted the forum rules on my Facebook page. I violated none of them. Beacon you know this yet you still choose to roast me in the final paper before the election. Not very nice.
