Overmatched Kamiak loses to No. 1 ranked Lake Stevens | Football

Kamiak did its best against top-ranked Lake Stevens.

But the Vikings showed why there are considered one of the favorites to win a state title with a dominant 61-6 victory in a Wesco 4A game Friday, Oct. 4, at Goddard Stadium.

“Our kids played hard,” Knights coach Bryant Thomas said. “At times we executed decently. But right now we were overmatched against the No. 1 team in the state.”

Lake Stevens (2-0 in the league. 4-0 overall) took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and added two more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 28-0 advantage.
