Strong finishes for Knights in distance races | Track and field

 

Kamiak's Leah Clark took seventh in the 1,600 and 3,200 races at the Wesco 4A championships.

Kamiak’s distance crew started off the postseason with strong performances at the Wesco 4A track and field championships.

Senior Alicia Anderson took third place in the girls 3,200-meter race and was followed by freshman Emma Arceo and Leah Clark, who placed fifth and seventh, respectively.

Anderson also finished fourth in the 1,600 in 5 minutes, 8.81 seconds, her best time of the season Arceo placed fifth and senior Leah Clark was seventh.

In the boys 1,600, sophomore Carp Mukai took third place in a career best time of 4:25.53 and finished seventh in the 3,200. Sophomore Jason Blinn...
